I have the free version and it’s so amazing that it makes me want to get the gold version. What is more, there are many other subscription plans available. Prequel is a free app and we are trying to maintain a balance between paid and free versions of the app. Get if you want to pay is basically what I’m saying but I’m sure you can find free options. The only reason it gets TWO stars is because at some point this was a really nice app to use. it’s usually the worst variation that’s free and and If they are free effects they’re usually outdated or ugly. Doubt it’s 300 since if you press on an effect you have different variations of that effect and the majority have the premium star next to it and 2. Now,I’ve been seeing the developers/company reply to other recent reviews saying that there are “300” free filters but 1. However, recently- as in like 5 mins ago- when I tried to use it, suddenly I’m brought to the premium screen?! Like why? I never had to pay for it before? So after I realized I couldn’t use it anymore I tried to use a different effect, tell me why I pressed one, that DIDNT have the little star next to it, which lets you know that an effect or filter is premium, and i immediately get sent to the premium screen!!!! I’m so annoyed! I always thought this app was a go to for effects and filters even though a lot required premium but now it feels like if you want to use anything you HAVE to get premium. It was only about a year ago where I used one of my favorite effects that give off a film/disposable camera sort of look.

We've fixed this issue in the app version 2.32.3. Absolutely being a baby making any complaint as so much of this is free. UPDATE: developer asked me to delete and redownload and it worked this time 🤦🏻‍♀️ I swear I tried that already, but here we are! Favorite editing app, use it a TON. Interestingly, it seems like all of the free effects still work, it’s just the filters (which I probably used more than the effects) I don’t know if it’s a purposeful change and for what reason it would be done like this, but it did make it a big bummer to use and I hardly touch it now. I tried deleting and redownloading the app, but it still seems to be doing that. Random ones will work, but clicking on most of them just does nothing. I have LOVED this app for a while now, but recently (noticed maybe 2 weeks ago?) something’s not been working, more than half the filters that are indicated to be usable in the free version just stopped working.
